A guide, not a quote

Information on dealfairy.com.au and in the Deal Fairy app is general information to help you compare electricity and gas plans. Estimated costs and savings are indicative only. The amount you actually pay depends on your usage, the plan you are on, and the retailer’s current rates, fees and conditions.

The app reads usage from your bills with on-device OCR. A poor quality invoice may be read incorrectly, and a single bill does not reflect seasonal changes in consumption. Either can cause the comparison to overstate or understate savings. For the most reliable result, upload four bills covering a full year. See Energy disclosures.

Not all of the market

We do not compare all energy retailers or all plans offered by those retailers. Some offers are not available through Deal Fairy. A cheaper plan may be available from a retailer we do not partner with, or on Energy Made Easy or Victorian Energy Compare.

Third-party information

Plan details come from energy companies and from published market data, including AER Energy Made Easy data. We do not warrant that this information is accurate, complete or up to date. Before you switch, confirm availability and terms with the retailer.

Nothing in the Service is legal, financial or energy-retail advice. We do not recommend a particular retailer or plan as suitable for you. You should consider your own circumstances and, if needed, get independent advice.

Retailers, not Deal Fairy

If you take up a plan, your contract is with that retailer. Deal Fairy is not a party to that contract and is not responsible for supply, billing, faults or the retailer’s conduct. Complaints about supply or bills should go to the retailer and, if needed, your energy ombudsman — see Complaints.
